Google recently contacted many of you regarding the elimination of your personal Google+ account. The Subject Line of the email was probably: "Your personal Google+ account is going away on April 2, 2019."
Several of you have asked me if that means you are going to lose the photos you have uploaded to Google as a backup. The answer is NO, nothing is going to happen to your photos. They are safe.
About 8 years ago Google launched Google+. It was a social media platform meant to rival Facebook and Twitter. However, it never really took off and most of you never used it. This article does a pretty good job of explaining it.
